Alterations to Application documents/materials

Applicants are responsible for ensuring that they have completed the application fully and accurately. Alterations to applications after application submission deadline will result in a disqualification.

 

Costs of Bidding

Applicants shall bear all their own costs and expenses incurred in the preparation and submission of its bid and the Food Innovation Network (FIN) will in no case be responsible or liable for those costs, regardless of the outcome in relation to individual bids.

 

Documentation

The Applicant is expected to examine all application documents and check they are complete in all respects. The application response must contain sufficient information to enable the FIN to evaluate accurately.

 

Qualifications

The FIN reserves the right to discuss, confidentially, any aspect of your application response with you prior to any award of a grant to clarify matters.

 

Funding Transparency and Freedom of Information

Applicants should note that the Government has set out the need for greater transparency in public sector expenditure. Applicants should be aware that in accordance with the obligations and duties placed upon public authorities by the Freedom of Information Act (“FOIA”) and the Environmental Information Regulations (“EIR”), the Authority may, acting in accordance with the Secretary of State’s Code of Practice under the FOIA or the EIR, be required to disclose information submitted to the Authority by the Applicant.

In respect of any information submitted by an Applicant that it considers to be commercially sensitive (meaning it could reasonably cause prejudice to the Applicant if disclosed to a third party) the Applicant should indicate the following to the FIN:

  • clearly identify such information as commercially sensitive;
  • explain the potential implications of disclosure of such information; and
  • provide an estimate of the period of time during which the Applicant believes that such information will remain commercially sensitive.

The FIN will take into account the Applicant’s view that this information is commercially sensitive but may, notwithstanding this, disclose such information at its sole discretion. If you have any queries regarding the application contact the FIN coordinator email/tel
