The workshop will feature a range of speakers from the agri-food and imaging sectors, presenting examples of ongoing projects
The agri-food sector faces many challenges, particularly the need to increase production to feed a growing population whilst limiting environmental impacts. The decreasing cost of cameras and sensors as well as a huge increase in computing power means that new imaging technologies are now viable options for the agri-food sector. These emerging imaging technologies will add value across the sector, from optimising inputs using precision agriculture to increasing the efficiency of food manufacturing lines.
With this in mind, the KTN is organising this workshop to bring together experts from the imaging and agri-food sectors to discuss industry needs, technological gaps and potential opportunities for emerging imaging technologies in agri-food.
Agenda to be confirmed.
Pitches: A number of pitch presentations will be available during the event to promote a particular solution, technology or capability related to the use of imaging in the agri-food sector. Presentations will be allocated on a first come, first served basis. Decisions regarding slots will be communicated by Friday 5 January 2018.
Exhibition: An exhibition will take place alongside the workshop during refreshment breaks for companies and related organisations who may wish to exhibit. Exhibition spaces will cost £100 +VAT. For further information, please contact Charlie Winkworth-Smith. Spaces are limited and will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
